Special Guest: Providence Journal, Sports Writer
           Jim Donaldson

Jim Donaldson of the Providence Journal joined Last Call on-air Thursday, April 15, to cover a wide variety of topics, including David Ortiz, Tim Tebow and Tiger Woods.

Donaldson has covered the NFL for the better part of the past 35 years, while also dipping his expertise into the NCAA as well as the MLB.

While on-air Donaldson commented largely on David Ortiz and his recent struggles, and what the Sox should do with him. Should they bench him indefinately? Should they switch him with Lowell pending pitching match-ups?

According to Donaldson, in the bottom of the 9th with two outs and the winning run on, Ortiz steps out if he's facing a lefty. And if it were up to Bill Belichick, Ortiz would have been on the pine a long time ago. You can check out his whole column on David Ortiz here.

Donaldson also spoke to the Patriots' upcoming draft, and the prospect of bringing Tim Tebow in to New England. According to the veteran NFL writer, Tebow doesn't stand a chance of coming to New England, citing Doug Flutie as a perfect example of why…Check out Donaldson's entire piece on Tebow right here, and a Patriots' draft preview here.

Finally, Donaldson and the guys on Last Call touched on Tiger Woods and his legacy as a golfer as well as a father and husband. According to Jim, Tiger's legend on the course is still salvageable - while his standing off of it is long gone. Donaldson also spoke to the fact that he felt fans were giving Tiger a little bit too much leeway, and taking the phrase "forgive and forget" a bit too far in Tiger's case. Check out the rest of his piece right here.

Oh, and as far as the World Series goes? Donaldson picks the Sox.

Yeah, that's right. Take that New York.
